Great ideas. Thanks for posting.
👍👍Since I’m a vegetarian, I like Indian veggie curry, Thank you very much 🙏🙏
I found Steph through Diane 👍
spaghetti with tuna(10 min to make the spaghetti)
Diane in Denmark. I started putting the menu on a whiteboard, near the stove. I thought it woukd help me.
I didn’t know how much it would help my husband. He is in his mid 70s. I didn’t realize he is starting to have memory problems. I’ve noticed he asks me the same question a few times. Getting older together means patience for your loved one.
I changed the menu, and he told me to change the menu. So he does look at it!
i normally make pasta with pesto and cherry tomatoes and/or feta when i am out of ideas .
Beans on toast! Heinz, of course. Lots of butter on the toast and splash on the Worcestershire sauce.
Baked beans on toast, eggs some way, spaghetti with tomato sauce, and a quick curry using a Thai paste, coconut cream and loads of veges, minestrone soup – tomato, beans, herbs, pasta, stock and water.
Biscuits and gravy, leftovers, tater tots hotdish with a veggie on the side.
I am sorry, but I can't find the link to your recipes. Help!
I absolutely love your hair!!! I've seen you before with a bobbed-haircut and really liked it, but I like this even more!!! It is very professional, flattering, playful, and very very feminine! It brings out your eyes!!! Very, very, very nice! So so cute!!
Wait a minute. Was that haggis in a can?!? I have always been curious about haggis, but too afraid to try it! 😬
Thank you Diane & Stephanie for collaborating! Y’all are a delight ❤️
I like Steph! Thanks for the introduction. She is pleasant to listen to and very sweet, just like you! Some of my easy go-to dinners are grilled sandwiches with soup, kielbasa sausage tossed up with peppers, and the most fun..breakfast for dinner😋 I appreciate your "meal motivation." It's been fun to add in new ideas 😊😉P.S. Please tell your sweet Mum that Julie from MO loves her minestrone soup😍
Love this! Thank you💕
So…when I was in college, I spent a semester at university of Glasgow.
My Scottish roommate was planning to make paella, but had to go out of town at the last minute. She asked me to make the paella because the prawns were going to go bad before she got back. She told me how to make it, including adding ‘tinned’ tomatoes. Well, my American self (having never made paella before) proceeded to lug 10 cans of tomatoes from the grocery store and add them to the paella! It makes me laugh at myself every time I think about it. Thanks for the reminder about ‘tinned’ food!
Have you discovered 'The batch lady' shes really helped enhance my life? Some great recipes to try as well.
Pasta carbonara, Rice with Chick peas (tin) and cubed ham (freezer); or pasta with garlic, onion, tin of tomatoes, tin of tuna and tin of anchovies. Can be topped with cheese. Can of erwtensoep (thick pea soup with meat and other veggies)
Diane , I could not get the candle with lid and the candle for 24 days to Christmas … I got everything so that I could make it ..
love it . Thank you .
Hello
Found you from Secret Slob. Fun ideas. I didn't even know Ikea had food!
Hi, Diane, same here in my closet and freezer, same favourites! And: yes I’ve the veggie balls from Ikea in my freezer…or from Garden Gourmet in the fridge. I’ve heard of Haggis, but no idea what that exactly is. So I’ll do some research in my resting time…love to follow the comments, too! But first things first: preparing for a guest for tea time. Apple (or berry or pear) crumble is my favourite, made in no time and a cake feeling😉! Thank you so much for sharing and I like that you and Steph are doing some cooperation! Love, Monika❣️
easiest last minute meal is spagetti carbonara for me. You need only egg, chese, bacon pepper and pasta.
I keep simmilar things in stock, except for the haggis …🤣 a few weeks ago i made the ministrone soup inspired by your video. It was very good 🥫
by the way we also have our specialties in Holland, my father in law loved to eat kopkaas. It’s a meat dish made of pig’s heads 😝
Yeah haggis! I live in West Lothian.
Great ideas.
I find Mexican food fast and easy, either tacos, we use the stand and stuff soft tortillas, or chicken fajitas, which we put in wraps with spinach, shredded carrot and dollop on guacamole on top, any left over meat I freeze then it's ready for another meal 🙂
We like scrambled eggs with a diced potato(diced small) and cheddar cheese. 😊
Keto bake, eggs and bacon/sausage, fathead pizza (although not as quick as i would like), a huge salad/veggie tray, and of course chili, sour cream and cheese.. – I eat Keto!
Pink is a good color for you 😊
I always keep my cupboards stocked with plenty of dry goods and some canned foods. I can put together a meal in 30 minutes or less, or throw it all in the crock pot early in the day, or in my instant pot. . Everyone should build a basic pantry and fridge,/freezer IKEA meat or veggie balls are a must ! 🙂 When I was in Edinburgh last April, I had Haggis for breakfast, It was ok 🙂 I would make breakfast for dinner sometimes….scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, toast or pancakes, coffee etc. It was a nice change. . tfs 🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃
I do a lot of beans with a can of tomatoes like you! Served with rice…new subscriber here. From Steph’s….
Jacket potatoes with salad and different toppings (cheese, tuna)
Hi Diane you are such an inspiration…check out ‘the batch lady’ aka Susanne Mulholland who is also form Scotland… she will show you how to make fast, simple, homemade, portion controlled meals, that can be prepared in under 10 minutes, then frozen for whenever you need them.
Great tips ! I find all types of pizza extremely sexy but i have low standards 😂🤣 Ikea meatballs are wonderful. I use ikea meatballs to make Italian Wedding Soup with my left over veggies.
The meal planning game changer for me was making myself a "use up list'. It's just a file I keep in my Google docs, which syncs to my phone.
I meal plan by looking in my fridge for whatever needs to be used up next. Then I go to my list and there are several favorite recipes for using up that ingredient.
I made potato Rosti yesterday with a couple old old potatoes , wonky carrot and half and onion, we had it with halloumi cheese and topped with a fried egg – with dipping sweet chill sauce. All store cupboard and what veg needed using up soon as ! Was really nice if I do say so myself – have a great weekend.
Would love a video about what to do with leftovers from holiday entertaining. Today I am making crock-pot chillies to go into a baked leftover pumpkin. The pumpkin flesh cooks better if baked separately then add the chillie and bake again to get the flavors to blend. Wrap the "pumpkin lid" in foil to prevent burning.. Baking the whole thing in a large oven-proof bown prevents collapse and disaster. It makes every-day-chillie special. Pumpkin hygge? The aroma is fantastic and you can keep everything warm in the oven while showering through the arrival of the last guest. EASY PEASY!

Our favourite last minute meal is perogies ( a crescent shaped dough with potatoes and cheese or sauerkraut and/or other things) kolbasa, and salad. We have a Ukrainian baba ( grandma) make them for us and keep them frozen til we need them. We get the kolbasa(Ukrainian sausages) from a Ukrainian company that specializes in them. All served with sour cream, onions cooked in butter and bs on bits if we have them. Delicious and everybody loves them!! Takes no time at all to prepare.
Loved this video Diane. I’m going to try Burning Love! I think my husband will love it. 😉 Great fun thAt you and Steph have some meals that are very similar! I got some really good last minute ideas from you! Many thanks! 🤗🌷💖
