Thank you so much for this awesome recipe!! (Literally was trying to think of what to make & saw your recipe post) I made this for part of my meal prep for the week and it came out absolutely delicious. I let my ground turkey sit in the marinade for about an hour before cooking. Made some turmeric rice and sauteed peppers & onions to complete my meals. Can't get over how delicious and flavorful! Plus having simple, easy access ingredients and the recipe not taking a lot of time to prepare is important for me. Thanks again!
I love this! I live in South Korea and my husband is Korean. We're trying to build muscle together but recently we've felt like we've been lacking good Korean anobolic recipes, so our diet is not sustainable. I would love to see more! Thank you~♡
After reading the story about that college kid that lost limbs due to eating rice leftovers I have had a hard time trying to eat rice after the second day after cooking. (I know it's stupid because I have eaten rice several days after cooking hundreds of times……..I can't stop the thought now though) So I make rice in amounts that I will eat that day now.
I’ll have to give this recipe a try! My partner and I love Asian cuisine (and I love cooking it) – last year when we started cutting back on meat I started making Korean rice bowls with Impossible Meat… so good. Some marinated impossible meat mixed up with cut green beans (I buy frozen for simplicity), some green onions, topped with sesame seeds over rice, so good. I know it can be healthier if I make a homemade sauce. Right now I use a store bought, either Teriyaki or Szechuan depending on how hot we want things mixed with Gochujang… sooooo delicious but in the back of my mind I know there’s sodium and sugars I want to avoid. So I try to use it sparingly. I’d imagine with a homemade version like this I’d save myself a couple hundred calories!
Love the recipe Jason – I will be making this for my next meal prep – but with turkey breast mince – just used to it and I find I just enjoy it more than beef. Still enjoy a nice T-Bone on a cheat day though…

Does 200 grams of white jasmine rice equal 200 calories?
Yes, please continue making these kind of vids
Great idea! I like doing this with fatty short ribs, but I should start eating leaner meats more often…
Great recipe, I'll try it this week. Thanks!

Never heard of using applesauce for anything besides baking. Super interesting!
