I was just thinking about beef and broccoli stir fry like 10 minutes ago and I get recommended this. The algorithm has gained telepathy.
We typically will add an egg yolk and a bit of potato starch to mix with the beef and marinade them for like 15 mins. Beef will normally still be very tender and retain the juice.
Maggi is Lovage, water, salt, vinegar and MSG.
I made this for dinner! It turned out so good and the flavors were fantastic! I usually don't even like broccoli and I couldn't stop eating this once I dug in
Made it today, this will definitely be one of my staples going forward. One of the best meals I've had in a while!
Love the idea, looks pretty easy for you to make aswell :). Please continue.
Definitely like the live kitchen idea
Having eaten this all the time growing up. I think a little more oyster sauce (instead perhaps all that maggi) would make this divine. 'Steaming' the broccoli is the right choice too imo.
You might want to replace your smoke detector, I don't think it's working
Broccoli stem is my favorite, it's way tastier than the crowns.
dude pls, you are now in Europe, and here we use Celsius
Putting the rice back in the wok that was used to cook the food is crucial it makes sure the seasoning isn't wasted, and gives your rice some flavor
I made this last night for dinner and it was great! Thanks for a new easy dish for weekday dinners. I followed your suggestion to freeze the beef a bit, but I nearly froze my fingertips off cutting it. Any tips? Not sure mittens would help here😂
Good on Ryan for traveling and living in Paris… But video quality had taken a big hit ever since
More great packaging for anyone with arthritis☹️☹️
Start making more vids. Goin nuts here. Its like you disappeared in Paris. 😢
This could have been a 5min video and you would have crushed it. People dont have time for this.
You should give us a tour of your apartment in France!
Lives in paris for a month, already using Celsius 🥲
I like the live videos way more !!!
Why did you move to Paris?
BEST FUCKING SERIES god damn you always hit the spot!
I like the live stuff honestly. With a lot of creators it can be a little awkward to watch live content I find, but even though you're obviously not a super lively and extroverted person it's calming and genuine content and relaxing to watch.
It's also a nice change of pace from hyper edited, "artificial" content in the food tube which, whilst entertaining, kind of gets wearing after a while (at least for me). This has more of those old school cooking show vibes.
Almost like Gyuu don without the onion
Ethan, please make a video on beans and rice
Ethan, just wanted to say that your content is really great! Not just recipes but also techniques and other practical tips is really awesome. Enjoy your time in Europe! If I hadn't moved away recently I'd would have loved to meet you. On a separate note, I'm sure you heard about it but as far as Europe goes, the Portuguese cuisine is probably one of the most unknown and most underrated but let me tell you it is amazing. Lived there for 2 years until recently and cannot say enough good about it! Fresh ingredients, full of flavor, prepared with love. If you get a chance during your stay in Europe you should definitely check it out ! Also check out the channel "Tuga na Cozinha" – Really high quality videos and very sympathetic guy ! He also speaks English (as most Portuguese do). Maybe you should do a collab with him as well !! His channel is in Portuguese (I do not speak Portuguese but still was able to follow the recipes) but he has been thinking about doing an international channel as well. Have a look !
My mom makes a dish similar to this, asian style dish, minus the pickled onions but now that i have my own jar of the pickled onions, those are definitely going with this dish!
I dont like these live episodes. I prefer the condensed edited ones.
How about doing a complete shave?
Really enjoying you live cooking posts. You probably already know this, but in Paris, you should check out Tang Frères in the 13th arrondissement for all your south East Asian ingredients 🙂 you can pick up chilli flakes which is so hard to find in French supermarkets. You’ll also be able to get fresh chilis, baby aubergines, and so much goodness ! There are many other markets in that area worth checking out 🙂
What nakiri knife is that?
