How to make organic turmeric powder at home |Turmeric powder from roots

Fresh turmeric needs to be cured before it can be dried and powdered. Turmeric is boiled and then dried in the sun. Boiling enables the starch in the turmeric to gelatinize and also helps in intensifying the color and in uniform distribution of color throughout the rhizome.

Sun dry is the best. I wouldn't recommend dehydrator or boiling.

Sorry, the turmeric rhizomes we get from underground are not roots. They are modified stem.

We can't boil just steam. I think boiling of any veg ,they release there juices in water.
