My theory is that Salad Fingers used to be a woman whose husband and friends went to a "great war" but after many nuclear attacks, almost everyone on Earth died and those who survived mutated badly. Almost all daydreams and behavior shown by Salad Fingers suggests that they were a woman. Arranging picnics, wearing dresses, getting proposed in one of the episodes by that bald guy to be his "wife" and scolding Jeremy Fisher for trying to woo her daughter. Also the more sexual (?) scenes indicate Salad Fingers to be female instead of male such as the expressions whenever she touches rust/blood and that weird milk scene if you know what I mean.
